It`s a drama about a sex change. The lady who plaid the lead used to be a man herself and has written the whole piece.
It`s about being different, coming out, fitting in and wanting to be accepted and valued for what you are. Instead however, you are the “freak”.
I still see people people being discriminated based on superficial things. By adults.
The play has received 4 stars by Evening News and is still on tonight, 7.30pm, St Bride`s.
Es war ein Drama zum Thema Geschlechtsumwandlung. Die Dame die die Hauptrolle spielte war selber einmal ein Mann und hat das ganze Stueck selber geschrieben.
Es handelt vom anders sein, coming out, vom anpassen, akzeptiert und anerkannt werden wollen als das was man ist. Stattdessen ist man der “Freak”.
Ich sehe heute noch oft wie Menschen aufgrund von Aeusserlichkeiten diskriminiert werden. Von Erwachsenen.

This was Tuesday in Spain – we drove down the coast (rather than up the coast as we did on Monday) and have found this beautiful little place half way. For two hours, we just went up and down the beach.
We drove down until we arrived at Cartagena, but we had no time to get out of the car. I have noticed that the signs at the shops are not only in Spanish and English but also in Arabic, and I am keen to find out why…
Das war der Dienstag in Spanien – habe gehoert in Deutschland ist schon wieder schlechtes Wetter, da dachte ich ich schicke Euch mal etwas Sonne und Strand.
Am Dienstag sind wir die Kueste runter gefahren (anstatt rauf wie am Vortag) und haben dieses schoene Oertchen unterwegs gefunden. Da sind wir zwei Stunden nur am Strand runter und wieder rauf spaziert.
Bis Cartagena sind wir gefahren, da hatten wir aber keine Zeit mehr auszusteigen. Mir ist aufgefallen dass dort an den Geschaeften meist nicht nur spanische und englische, sondern auch arabische Sprache stand. Das werde ich aber noch raus finden, warum…
That`s the price for petrol (not super) at the mo at the Esso station in Musselburgh. Seriously.
I have filled up last week but now, I`m determined not to do so again until the prices go back down to a reasonable level. I refuse to buy into the panic about running dry but these crazy price increases are a different matter!
Benzin kostet momentan fast 1.70 Euro an unserer Esso-Tankstelle. Ehrlich.
Ich habe letzte Woche vollgetankt und werde mich weigern wieder tanken zu gehen bevor die Preise nicht wieder dort sind wo sie waren. Ich weigere mich mich von der Massenpanik anstecken zu lassen, von wegen wir laufen trocken, aber diese Preissteigerungen sind eine Unverschaemtheit!
